This may result in data (and in limited circumstances personal data) being automatically transferred outside the United Arab Emirates for the purpose of such backups.

Where personal data is transferred outside the United Arab Emirates, we take reasonable steps to ensure that it is treated securely and in accordance with the PDPL. Under Articles 22 and 23 of the PDPL, personal data may be transferred outside the UAE to jurisdictions that provide an adequate level of protection as recognised by the UAE Data Office, or, where no such adequacy applies, on the basis of appropriate safeguards (such as contractual commitments imposing UAE-level protections), your express consent, or where the transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

9.Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, destruction, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. These measures include access controls, secure hosting arrangements and confidentiality obligations on our personnel and service providers. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the UAE Data Office and, where required, affected individuals in accordance with the PDPL.

10.Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, regulatory, accounting or professional record-keeping requirements, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. When personal data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise it. Where you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will retain your contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

11.Your Rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the PDPL, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
